Step 1: Backup

Delete custom domains
If you purchased a domain from WordPress.com, you can not delete it. WordPress tells you that this site can not be deleted because it uses a custom domain.
To access the domain administrator, your site must be enabled on WordPress.com. At this point, there are two ways.
- Transfer domain to another registrar
- Website privacy
Enter your web admin panel to privatize your domain. Select the Settings menu and select the Reading option. Go to the bottom of the page and in the visibility site section, check the option like my site to be private I would.
